“The evidence of an apostle is not that you have a big church. The evidence of an apostle is that you are changing culture.” — Danny Silk
Listen in to guest speaker Danny Silk, of Loving On Purpose, as he talks about what it means to be led by the Spirit that is structured into the government of heaven.
As Christians, we are in an epic battle to displace the darkness, but it doesn’t happen through fear and control. It happens through love and sacrifice, and that’s why it’s so fragile.
There is a flow from heaven to earth, and there are roles that pull on heaven and present Jesus to the earth. First Corinthians 12 tells us that God gave us first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, and then it goes on. The struggle we have on the earth today, especially in the church, is that we don’t know what an apostle is.
The role of the apostle is to show the world the Father just like Jesus did. They are bringing the Father to the earth, and along with the Father comes who He is and everything on earth changes. Apostle leadership does something that other leaders don’t do. They understand the whole picture, the whole body. They understand that we must have everybody suit up for this game.
And the evidence of an apostle is not that you have a big church. The evidence of an apostle is that you are changing culture. You’re actually having an impact on your sphere of influence, your sphere of authority.
