What was the situation like before?
I’ve visited West Africa, Sierra Leone about 10 times on mission trips, and there’s this town, kind of a suburb, outside of Freetown, the capital city named Waterloo.
I’ve been to Waterloo, probably half a dozen times. So, a couple of years ago, I was back there in a soccer field doing an open-air meeting. This is where I saw hundreds of Muslims get saved right there. I’m leading a three-night open-air meeting and I don’t even remember what night it was.
They told me after the meeting that the soccer field had been cursed by the local witch doctor and that six kids had dropped dead that year on that soccer field. So, while all these Muslims were getting saved, they brought this guy I’ve never seen before. This man was literally dressed in rags. His hair was just a mess. There was stuff all in his hair and his eyes were crazy.
I mean, his eyes were just like, bouncing around like a squirrel on crack cocaine. They want me to pray for this guy. They tell me, “He’s mad”. I said, “what’s the problem?” They said, “well he’s mad, he’s been mad for 10 years.” They were saying he had insanity for 10 years.
What did God do?
So, I just grab his head and I pray, I release the fire of God to consume the enemies of God and I command insanity to release him. Right then his eyes stopped bouncing around and focused on me. I asked him a question. I said, do you want Jesus? And he said, yeah, I do, I want Jesus. So, I lead the guy to Jesus.
The next day, the pastors say this guy is completely normal. The village madman for 10 years, was completely insane. Everybody’s scared to death of this guy and now he’s completely normal.
What is the situation like now?
This happened two years ago and this week I got a call on WhatsApp from the village pastor and he said, this guy won’t give me any peace.
The pastor tells me that he wants to talk to you because he’s so grateful for what God did for him. His whole family wants to thank you as well. So, they’re going to call me tomorrow on WhatsApp.
