Living by Conviction

“Do we focus on what’s happening around us or what’s going on inside of us?” — Pastor Eddie Tait

Listen to Pastor Eddie Tait, Associate Leader of Bethel Austin, talk about living by our convictions instead of what’s happening in the world around us.

During this crazy time, we’re left with one simple question – Do we focus on what’s happening around us or what’s going on inside of us? We can have the perception that social distancing was put on us as a restriction so that we couldn’t go anywhere or have the understanding that we’ve been planted so that God can actually nurture us and take us deeper.

Romans 12:2 tell us “do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

Being conformed is an external process. Being transformed is an internal process. Do not be conformed to the world. Do not let your external circumstances actually begin to shape and change who you are in behavior, who you are in your identity, who you are and how you respond to people, but be transformed. Let what’s inside of you actually make its way out in a way that it actually begins to cultivate manifest. And it begins to shape itself to be a reflection in likeness of Jesus.
