Knowing & Thriving in Your Season

Knowing & Thriving in Your Season

Joaquin Evans, senior leader of Bethel Austin, shows us the importance of allowing the Lord to grow deeper roots in our lives .

Sometimes we need to revisit and reflect on the past that helped us to where we are now. Going back to the foundation stones such as the practices, the principles, and the expression of worship with childlike faith. This childlike risk is one of the things we are specifically reminding the church of. That childlike faith causes us to take risks with God. As a body of believers we are excited to take every new risk with that kind of faith being a part of what got us here. Talking about seasons and knowing the season you're in gives value to the roots of our foundation. We need to know the difference of the seasons. Knowing that winter is part of God's plan just as much as hibernation. When that season comes, those are times from God that are actually preparation for what he's doing, it's all part of God's plan and what he's growing. Do we recognize that God is growing us? Are we tuned in to the reality that God is growing us? Or have we bought into a little bit of hysteria that says just because some leaves have fallen off in places, things have turned brown or dead here on the surface. Then we could say is this the end? Or is this the way to the end. Things may be dying, hibernating, or regenerating. God is providing opportunity for growth at a deeper level. He is inviting you to put your roots deeper.
