Listen in to guest speaker Danny Silk, of Loving On Purpose, as he shares how we can begin to overcome the fatherlessness that’s currently plaguing our country. It is the most epic battle of good and evil right now, and we need our men to be godly men, not girly men. As a man, are you imitating your Father or are you reacting to other fathers? That difference takes a deliberate transformation. We are transformed into His image by being in His presence and learning and knowing who He is. And we live in a day and age, when more than ever, it is crucial that we learn how to father, how to be men together, understand the role, and understand the function of fathers on the planet. Hard times create strong men and strong men create good times. The strength that people develop from going through hard times prepares them to create a world that eliminates those hard times. They take this responsibility, and they put it to good work. What can also happen though is good times create weak men, and then weak men go on to recreate the hard times. So in all our efforts to create ease for our children, we cannot forget the benefit of struggle. The benefit of faithfulness, the benefit of discipline, the benefit of character. See godly men and godly women can create good times that train children in strength and not in weakness. As long as we remember that we're to be faithful and to not lose sight of why we're here. Unless we develop the character that looks like the Father, good times are hard. We must show the world the Father instead of merely show the world the fruit of good times.
