As God encounters us in His Word, faith is released into our lives. Studying God’s truth empowers us to believe in who He is, who we are, and how He wants us to live.

Look At The Candle

Look At The Candle

Joaquin Evans, senior leader of Bethel Austin, shows us how we can live a life pursuing God. Jesus was strategically placed in time for one purpose, to save the world. He was born with a purpose and you were the purpose. We were that purpose destined for redemption, but how many people know that when Jesus came, he didn't come to earth to live sinless and to die on the cross for us. He didn't do that because he was playing games. When he came with a greater purpose. He came to die so that you and I could be reconciled to the father so that we could be redeemed and we could be forgiven of all of our sins allowing us to have a relationship with God. He came with a purpose and this is the God that we serve. There are movements that take place when we encounter God, this is how our world gets lit on fire. This pursuit of God may take years or decades to unfold, being similar to a slow and deep burn. Look at Exodus 2:3 with Moses and the burning bush. Over the next several years that slow burn worked itself out till God's people were delivered and into the promised land. In our own lives we can look at our whole life as an adventure of exploring and pursuing him.
