As God encounters us in His Word, faith is released into our lives. Studying God’s truth empowers us to believe in who He is, who we are, and how He wants us to live.

The Secret Place

The Secret Place

Listen to Pastor Joaquin Evans as he discusses the importance of spending time with the father. His power is key to giving us strength and a renewed mind. How do we bring a tangible change in ourselves? By being soaked and saturated in the presence of God. We become what we worship, evidenced by our behavioral changes that others notice. Specifically, by spending time with Father ruminating on his goodness. The scriptures give us some instructions on how to be alone with the Father. Matthew 6:6 says, “But you, when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your father who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Have we learned to linger? Pressing in to the knowledge of God? When we wait on the Lord he renews our strength and gives us supernatural insight into the problems we face. Philippians 4 teaches us to rejoice in everything, covering our concerns with prayer. Focusing on what is right, pure, true, lovely and admirable. If we do these things, we circumvent many obstacles in our life. As believers, we want to move when he asks us to move by the leading of his spirit. Learning how to ruminate in his presence is the key to connection with the Father.
