At Bethel Austin, it is our passion to equip believers to live a supernatural lifestyle and activate everyone to do ministry. Throughout the year, we offer a variety of classes — Equip, Activate and Elements — that are taught by different teachers and are designed to help you grow in different spheres of your walk with God.

These classes range from four to twelve weeks long with meeting times on either Tuesday nights or before service on Saturdays. Please refer to each specific class for length and day.

All classes are held at 4407 Monterey Oaks Blvd., Austin, TX 78749, and registration is required to attend.

Engaging In Healthy Communication — Stacey Harris and Dr. Dana Sleger

Communication is the lifeblood of every relationship, and if it’s unhealthy, it can open the door for disconnection, create distance between people, and potentially destroy the culture of any organization. From unpacking the question “What is communication?” to diving into how it affects every area of your life — family, work, ministry — this class will equip you with a greater understanding of communication styles/strategies and the right tools to be a better communicator.

Developing a Kingdom Worldview — Charles Patterson

In Matthew 6, Jesus taught us to pray to the Father that His Kingdom would be established in the earth as it is in heaven, as well as seek His Kingdom as our first priority in life. The question is, “What are we asking for when we pray for His Kingdom to come and be established on the earth, and what are we seeking when we seek the Kingdom?” In this class, we will explore these answers and talk about how to develop an overall vision/attitude toward our purpose in life around the Kingdom of God.

Ephesians: Heaven Meets Community — Shane Harris

In this class, the major themes in the book of Ephesians will be examined to help you gain an understanding of God’s vision for redeemed community and the “immeasurable power” He releases through us together. The overflow of heaven does not happen in the context of an individual; it happens as we are built together into a dwelling place for God’s presence. His purpose is to bring heaven to earth forming a new kind of community with Jesus Christ at the center.

The Power of Forgiveness — Janet Richards

Forgiveness is a key foundation of heaven’s culture, and Jesus’ forgiveness changed our positional authority forever. Forgiveness of others brings us freedom from pain; self-forgiveness removes hindrances that block growth; and forgiveness as intercession can release individuals, regions, and even nations. This class will teach you how living a lifestyle of forgiveness is a weapon of righteousness that changes lives.

Evangelism 101 — Tim Specht

When it comes to evangelism, it should not be viewed as something only for the outspoken; individuals with a radical conversion testimony; or world-renowned evangelists who gather thousands in stadiums, preach the gospel, and call sinners to repentance. The truth is, we’re all called to evangelize! Join this class to learn about what the call of Jesus is surrounding evangelism, and receive fresh courage and boldness as you become activated to share the gospel in your everyday life.
