Joaquin Evans was one of the speakers at the Seek First conference in February 2024, which was hosted by Oak City Church in Birmingham, Alabama. The testimony below is from the event photographer who captured what God did from a unique perspective.
“I’ve had the honor of taking pictures at a few events for some of the sweetest friends at Oak City Church for a couple of years now. The Seek First conference they host is unlike any other. This weekend, they had Steffany Gretzinger, Meredith Mauldin, Joaquin Evans, Danny Silk, and more. I bawled, I laughed, I stood in awe. It was such a holy weekend. I get to experience it differently and I don’t ever want to take what I get to do for granted. When the Holy Spirit is filling a room, you feel it, but I get to literally watch it move like a breath of air through people. You can see people’s disposition genuinely change when they feel the fresh wind. When they are worshiping and the love of the Father wraps them up, you see it. When they have been holding on to regret and pain and they finally feel free, you can physically see it. I don’t ever want to forget the good from this weekend at Oak City for creating an environment for such a powerful weekend with our Father.”
