What was the situation like before?
I was visiting with my daughter and her husband and their two daughters. One child is 5 years old and the other child is 3 years old. The 3 year old has been having bad dreams and waking up crying. In the dreams, she said she was being chased and she knew the name of what was chasing her. I realized what was tormenting my granddaughter was a demon.
A few days later my wife and I were babysitting. During that time, my wife kept the kids occupied and I went from room to room praying in the Spirit.
Lord Jesus,
You are my Savior.
You are my Redeemer.
You are my Healer.
You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
You are Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
No evil and can stand against you.
These are my granddaughters and my daughters house and evil has no business here.
In the name of Jesus Christ, all evil shall leave these children and leave this house.
After praying in every room, I prayed over the children. Then I told both of them that if they have any bad dreams or any scary shadows, tell them “Jesus said go away!” And I made them repeat it back to me.
Holy Spirit let me know that it was “prowling around” but away from the children, and out of the house.
A few days later, the 5 year old told me, “Poppy! I woke up scared the other night. I said your prayer. I went back to sleep and did not wake up until it was time to get up!”
What did God do?
