What was the situation like before?
At the camp Meeting at church, a lady I never met before had a word for me. She said I had the gift of evangelism in my life and that I would lead many men to the Lord. She also told me I had the gift of healing. Immediately after praying, she asked around if anyone wanted healing. Another lady behind us, who had been suffering with arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome raised her hand, so we held her hands and began praying for healing. The first lady started guiding me into how to pray for healing.
What did God do?
I kept short prayers, basically thanking Jesus every time until the lady I was praying for was healed from her pain. She’s had pain in her hands and wrists for about 20 years. Her Pain level was a 9 and went to 0 after praying. The Lord healed her that night.
What is the situation like now?
The lady said that it was so strange that they used to pray years ago for people on 6th street and saw healings all the time and wondered why she couldn’t receive healing by praying for herself. Then she said, “I guess it’s because I don’t feel worthy.” So, I shared with her that is exactly what I sensed as we prayed, and that she needed to come into alignment with Jesus’ compassion for her. I hugged her and told her that Jesus has been leading me on a journey growing in self-love and I prayed for her and as best as I knew how, imparted to her self-love and to see herself as worthy. It felt like she first received physical healing, and then a measure of inner healing. Thank you, Jesus!
